Foresight on Demand is a framework contract offering the European Commission and other European institutions rapid response foresight support for policymaking, drawing on the best available foresight knowledge.

FoD provides timely and effective support for addressing emerging risks, navigating crises, identifying future opportunities, and preparing for long-term policy challenges.

FoD I ran from 2019 to 2023. FoD II builds on this work from 2024 to 2028.

Among other activities, FoD includes

Identifying and analysing change through horizon scanning and trend analysis
Exploring and shaping futures through scenario development, vision building, and backcasting/roadmapping
Testing and informing policy through stress-testing and foresight-based recommendations
