Project summary
This foresight project explored alternative futures for resilient European agriculture and food systems by revisiting and extending the SCAR transition pathways in the context of polycrises, technological change, and geopolitical developments. Combining horizon scanning, Delphi surveys, expert consultations, participatory workshops, and scenario development, it examined the role of natural resources through deep dives on land and water, updated the transition pathways, and identified strategic priorities to inform future European research and innovation agendas, including Food 2030 and FP10.Resources
