Project summary

The foresight project Support to the Mission Board Adaptation to Climate Change, including Societal Transformation aimed to support the Mission Board’s reflections on climate adaptation through strategic foresight. Adopting a long-term perspective, the project combined literature and project reviews, interviews with Mission Board members, a participatory foresight workshop, and a Delphi survey to explore future climate adaptation challenges, validate key drivers and trends, and identify barriers, enablers, solutions, and research and innovation needs. The results informed the Mission Board’s recommendations for Europe’s climate adaptation mission.
